The Royal Academy of Arts in London is considered one of the leading art institutions in the world. The Foundation has been collaborating with the Academy for many years by funding art and educational programs that are targeted at improving the lives of young people.
The Foundation has contributed to the Academy’s scholarship fund and to the ‘Under 25s’ program, which allows young adults to visit exhibitions at heavily subsidised ticket prices. Similarly, to bolster young people’s access to the art world, The Foundation has been instrumental in extending young membership to the academy from 18 – 25 to 18 – 35.
More recently, the Royal Academy held an evening of appreciation for Batia, noting her tremendous commitment to the field and recognising her as a role model for young women looking to build a career for themselves in charitable initiatives and more broadly, the creative industries.
Batia is a trustee of the Royal Academy and has formally chaired the committee for the Summer Exhibition Preview Party.
